Inherited a Smart Home? A Dubai Takeover, Step by Step

Bought a villa with a system nobody documented. Installer stopped answering. Here is exactly what happens when we take over.

The quiet problem in the Dubai market

Every integrator here knows it: the market is full of botched installs, undocumented racks & contractors who vanished after handover. Owners are left with keypads that do nothing, apps that lost their passwords & a rack that hums in a cupboard nobody dares open.

The industry's habit is to sell you a brand-new system. Ours is to rescue the one you already paid for, where it deserves rescuing.

Step one: the audit

We survey floor by floor, rack by rack. What hardware exists, what firmware it runs, what still works, what was installed badly & what was never finished. Passwords & programming access are recovered or reset properly, with everything recorded.

You get the findings in writing. No drama, no blame theatre. If parts of the old work are good, we say so & keep them.

Step two: the rebuild

Racks are stripped & rebuilt to workshop standard: dressed looms, labelled terminations, ventilation, room to service. Programming is redone around how the house is actually used. Where hardware is obsolete, we replace only what earns its keep.

Step three: support that stays

The system goes under IconicCare™ aftercare. Most faults are fixed remotely, often before you notice them, by the same engineers who rebuilt the system. This is the work that won us Snap One's Best Service & Support EMEA 2024.

If your smart home has let you down, the fix is usually smaller than you fear. Start with the audit.

Talk it through with the team.
