Dolby Atmos rooms, engineered
A cinema is an acoustic room first and an AV room second. We design the room — isolation, absorption, diffusion, seating geometry — before a single speaker is chosen, then specify the Dolby Atmos layout, the projection or direct-view display, the amplification and the rack to suit it. Our London cinema won a Smart Buildings Award for exactly this: acoustic engineering, Control4 automation and architectural design working as one. In Dubai the same discipline applies to a dedicated room in a villa basement or a converted majlis.
Media rooms and hidden cinemas
Not every house wants a black box. Media rooms keep the daylight and the sofas and hide the technology: plaster-in speakers, a screen that drops from the ceiling, a projector in a soffit, invisible subwoofers, and one keypad or remote that dims the lights, closes the blinds and starts the film. The room stays the room. Cinema and media-room projects land in the Signature to Iconic tiers depending on the room and the standard; a design consultation is the first step.
