yacht CCTV and security systems in Dubai

Every deck watched, from the saloon or from the shore.

Cameras on the decks and the passerelle, a video doorbell and touch keypad at the boarding point, and recording that keeps what matters. You watch it on the saloon screen, the bridge or your phone, on board or while the vessel sits at the berth with a skeleton crew.

We integrate the CCTV, access and intercom into the vessel's control system so one interface shows everything. Recorders and controllers live in the climate-controlled technical space. Anything outside is specified only where its manufacturer rates it for the exposure it will actually get.

Who this is for

Security on board comes down to who steps aboard, what happens on deck at night, and seeing it from anywhere.

  • Captains who want the passerelle, the swim platform and the tender garage on one screen on the bridge.
  • Owners' representatives who want to look in from a phone in Dubai, or anywhere else, while the vessel is at the berth.
  • Yacht managers with several vessels in Dubai Harbour or Dubai Marina who need each one to report its own camera health.
  • Refit yards and charter operations replacing an older recorder with a system the crew can actually use.

What MK Iconic does

How we deliver it

Survey the sightlines

We walk the decks, the passerelle, the swim platform and the tender garage and agree where a camera earns its place. Night vision goes where the deck lighting is off at anchor, and positions cover the boarding points without looking into a neighbour's saloon.

Specify for the exposure

Marine-housed cameras come from the vessel's CCTV specialist and we integrate them. At the boarding point we fit the Control4 DS2 Touch Keypad, rated IP54 and IK08 by Control4, and the Control4 Chime video doorbell, rated IP65 by Control4. Recorders, controllers and switches stay in the air-conditioned technical space.

Show it, then keep it watched

Live and recorded video appear on the saloon screens, the bridge and the crew's phones, and a call from the boarding point rings the chief steward. Iconic Care™ then monitors the recorder and cameras, shows CCTV health in the client portal, and a fault reported by WhatsApp, email or phone is logged as a ticket.

Control4

Control4 DS2 Touch Keypad and Chime

The DS2 Touch Keypad gives crew a code to open the gangway gate and lets a guest press once to call the steward. Control4 rates it IP54 and IK08 for impact, which suits a passerelle or deck access point under cover. The Chime video doorbell, rated IP65 by Control4, adds a wide-angle camera with night mode.

Both run through the Control4 controller in the technical space and appear on the same screens as the lighting and AV. Control4 publishes no marine or salt-spray rating for either, so we place them where the published rating covers the exposure. MK Iconic is a Control4 Diamond Dealer.

Best for: Boarding points, gangway gates and covered deck access on Control4 vessels

Cameras, recording and remote viewing

Deck, passerelle, swim platform and tender garage cameras are marine-housed units from the vessel's CCTV specialist, chosen for salt air and direct sun. Recording sits on a network video recorder in the climate-controlled technical space, with retention set to the captain's policy.

Live and recorded views reach the saloon screens, the bridge and the crew's phones through the control system. From ashore, remote viewing depends on the vessel's connectivity, which your comms contractor provides, and is limited to named users.

Best for: Vessels at the berth with a small crew, and owners who want to look in from ashore

Questions

Yacht CCTV and security: questions we get asked

Do you supply the cameras?

We integrate them. Marine-housed cameras come from the vessel's CCTV specialist, who knows the salt air and sun exposure on each deck. We handle the recorder, the network, the access and intercom hardware, and the control system that puts it all on one screen.

Can I watch the vessel from Dubai while it is at the berth?

Yes, when the vessel has a working internet connection, which your comms contractor provides. Live and recorded video reach your phone through the control system, with access limited to named users. If the connection drops, recording carries on on board.

How do I know a camera has failed?

Iconic Care™ monitors the recorder and each camera and raises a ticket when one goes offline. You see CCTV health in the client portal, and your crew can report anything else by WhatsApp, email or phone and it is logged as a ticket.
