Integrating VRF and split AC
Most Dubai villas run VRF or split air conditioning, and most 'smart' climate control stuck onto it is an infrared emitter pretending to be a thermostat. We integrate through the manufacturer's gateway on Control4 or KNX instead, so the system has two-way status: the set point on the keypad is the set point in the room, the mode and fan speed are real, and the whole house can drop to an economy setting when the family is out and recover before they are home. Chilled-water systems in larger villas and towers are handled on KNX with proper zone valves and sensors.
Climate with shading
The cheapest cooling in Dubai is the heat you never let in. Automated shading on the sunny elevations, tracking the sun through the afternoon, cuts solar gain at the glass before the compressors pay for it — which is why climate and shading are designed together here, on one system and one set of scenes. Climate integration is survey-priced because it depends on the AC equipment already in the house; it usually lands within the Signature tier of a whole-villa project.
