commercial display installation in Dubai

The right screen, the right size, in the right place.

A display is the one part of a meeting room everyone looks at, so it is the wrong place to save money or guess the size. We specify commercial-grade panels for offices, boardrooms, training rooms and lobbies across Dubai, size them for the person furthest from the screen, and mount them so no cable or bracket is ever on show.

Where one panel is not enough, we build video walls and dual-display Microsoft Teams Rooms, and we feed every screen from a Crestron DM NVX network so content from any source reaches any wall in the building.

Who this is for

Flat panel displays suit almost every room in a commercial building, as long as the panel matches the duty.

  • Boardrooms and meeting rooms that need one large display or a dual-display Microsoft Teams Room
  • Reception areas, lobbies and lift lobbies in office towers in DIFC, Business Bay and JLT
  • Training rooms, town-hall spaces and open-plan collaboration areas
  • Operations rooms and trading floors that run their screens all day, every day
  • Fit-out contractors and owners' representatives who want the display package specified, supplied and installed by one team

What MK Iconic does

How we deliver it

Sizing for the far seat

We start from the room, not the catalogue. The distance to the furthest seat, the content you show (a spreadsheet needs a bigger screen than a video call) and the light from a Dubai window set the panel size and brightness. We draw the sightlines before we recommend anything.

Commercial-grade panels, not consumer TVs

A commercial panel is rated for long duty cycles, often sixteen hours a day or round the clock, where a consumer TV is built for an evening. Commercial panels also carry higher brightness for sunlit rooms, a commercial warranty and the control ports a Crestron system needs to switch them on, off and to the right input. We only fit a consumer TV where the client asks for one and understands the trade.

Mounting and cable concealment

We fix to the structure, not the plasterboard, with a mount rated for the panel's weight and a recessed box behind the screen for power and data. Cables run inside the wall or in trunking finished to match. Where the wall is glass or a feature finish, we agree the mounting detail with the fit-out contractor before first fix.

Video walls and DM NVX distribution

For a lobby or an operations room we tile narrow-bezel panels into a video wall with a processor that treats them as one canvas or several. Every display is fed by a Crestron DM NVX decoder on the building network, carrying 4K60 video over standard 1 Gb Ethernet, so a source anywhere in the building can appear on any screen. We commission, label and document the lot, and after handover the system sits on Iconic Care™ remote monitoring, so a fault reported by WhatsApp, email or phone is logged as a ticket.

Questions

Commercial displays: questions we get asked

Why not just buy a large consumer TV?

You can, and for a small room used an hour a day it may be fine. The difference shows over time: commercial panels are built for long duty cycles, run cooler, hold their brightness and come with a commercial warranty that covers business use. They also expose the control ports a room system needs, so the screen wakes with the meeting rather than waiting for a remote.

What size display does a boardroom need?

It depends on the distance to the furthest seat and on the content. A video call tolerates a smaller screen than a spreadsheet full of figures. We measure the room and draw the sightlines, and in a long Dubai boardroom the answer is often two displays rather than one very large one.

Do Microsoft Teams Rooms support two displays?

Yes. The Crestron Flex room kits we specify support single or dual front-of-room displays, with the displays supplied separately. Two screens let you keep the people on one and the shared content on the other, which is why most of our boardroom designs use a pair.

Can one source feed every screen in the building?

Yes, with AV over IP. A Crestron DM NVX encoder puts each source on the network and a decoder behind each display pulls it off, so a town-hall broadcast from the boardroom can appear in every meeting room and the lobby at once. Adding a screen later means adding a network point, not a new cable run back to a rack.
