Tower glazing, retrofit and invisible technology
Three things define a penthouse or apartment project. The glazing: full-height glass that gives the view and, unmanaged, the solar gain — so silent Lutron shading, tracking the sun down the facade on scenes with the lighting, is usually the first system specified. The retrofit: most apartments are finished and occupied, so wireless Lutron and Control4 lighting go in behind existing plates, battery shades need no cabling, and the interior is handed back as it was found. And the standard of finish: plaster-in speakers, keypads matched to the interior, screens that disappear. We delivered full-height Lutron shading in a finished, occupied Downtown residence exactly this way.
