Security in a Dubai villa is three systems that should behave as one: cameras positioned for real coverage of the approaches, gates and pool rather than the driveway alone, with local recording and sensible retention; an alarm with zones the household will actually arm; and a video door station and smart lock so the door can be answered — and opened for a delivery or a driver — from anywhere. We specify commercial-grade equipment rated for heat, dust and salt air, on a network segment of its own.
Integrated into Control4
The difference between security equipment and a security system is the integration. On Control4 the cameras appear on the same app and touchscreens as everything else, the door station rings the house, the Away scene arms the alarm, locks the doors and drops the climate, and a camera event can turn on the lights. Security integration usually lands in the Essential to Signature tiers depending on camera count and the door-entry hardware; it is survey-priced because coverage depends on the property.
