Lutron or KNX lighting control
Two platforms do the serious lighting work in our Dubai projects. Lutron — RadioRA 3 for finished homes, HomeWorks for large schemes specified from the drawings — is the reference for dimming quality: no flicker, no buzz, no drop-out at one per cent, with keypads engraved to the scenes a household actually uses. KNX is the open, wired standard we specify for new builds, estates and towers: DALI and switched lighting from the distribution board up, on a bus that any KNX Partner can support in fifteen years' time. Both sit under Control4 or Crestron as the interface when the rest of the house is on it.
The choice is decided by the property, not the price list: finished and occupied points to wireless Lutron; open walls and a large scheme point to HomeWorks or KNX. We hold Lutron's HomeWorks, RadioRA 3 and shading certifications and are a KNX Partner, so the recommendation is not tied to what we can sell.
Circadian and scene lighting for Dubai
Dubai has world-class daylight and most villas waste it indoors behind closed blinds and flat 3000K downlights. Tunable-white fittings on a Lutron or KNX schedule run cooler and brighter through the morning and warm and soften from late afternoon, with a fixed evening scene on every keypad. Layered ambient, accent and task light is designed with your interior designer from the plans, every circuit on the load schedule, and every fitting tested against its driver before commissioning. Indicatively, RadioRA 3 lighting control runs AED 2,550 to 5,100 per zone; HomeWorks and KNX schemes are priced from the drawings.
